Paleo Crock Pot Honey Garlic Chicken



A delicious take on the traditional Crock Pot Honey Garlic Chicken recipe that is also Paleo friendly. This dish is flavorful, savory, and sweet, making it ideal for a filling and healthful supper.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tablespoons arrowroot powder for thickening
  • Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish optional

Instructions:

Mix honey, coconut aminos, chicken broth, minced ginger and garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using in a bowl

After putting the chicken breasts in the crock pot, cover them with the honey garlic sauce

Cook the chicken for 45 hours on low, covered, or until it's tender and cooked through

Using two forks, shred the chicken after taking it out of the crock pot

Put aside

Make a slurry out of the arrowroot powder and two tablespoons of water in a small bowl

Stir thoroughly after adding the arrowroot slurry to the sauce in the crock pot

Cook until the sauce thickens, about 15 to 20 minutes on high

Pour the thickened sauce over the shredded chicken by returning it to the crock pot and stirring

If preferred, garnish the Paleo Crock Pot Honey Garlic Chicken with sliced green onions and sesame seeds
