Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C
Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter
Stir in the sugar until well combined
Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the banana mixture, and mix until smooth
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined
Fold in the sour cream and semi-sweet chocolate chips
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top
Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely
