Ingredients:
- 4 cups of Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup of honey or maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of chopped fresh fruit optional, for topping
Instructions:
Put the Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt in a large bowl
Stir everything together with a whisk until it's well mixed
Follow the directions on the ice cream maker's manual to churn the mixture until it has the consistency of frozen yogurt
You can freeze the mixture in a shallow dish if you don't have an ice cream maker
Every 30 minutes, take it out of the freezer and stir it really hard to break up the ice crystals
Do this until it's firm and creamy
When the frozen yogurt is done, you can either serve it right away for a soft-serve texture or put it in a container that won't let air in and freeze it for a few hours for a firmer texture
If you want, you can add chopped fresh fruit on top before serving
